The history of our activity in the field of pistachios dates back to about 90 years ago. When our ancestors first started their work, they weren’t landowners and had to work on rented-out orchards. It took several years that they could gradually make progress and become farm owners by planting and harvesting pistachios in two prominent regions of Kerman, Rafsanjan, and Zarand in Iran. Coming across a new type of pistachio was a noteworthy point during our ancestors` horticultural years. this new type of pistachio was distinguished in terms of taste, flavor, and color from other common varieties of pistachios. Naming it “MOMTAZ” - meaning “the beast and unique” -, they opted to reproduce it.
Years later, in order to continue the path of our ancestors, we have constructed Pistachio orchards in Ravar, Zarand, and Rafsanjan.
We, as the new generation of this pistachio producer family, were determined to step into the next process of the supply chain. Making our way to export and expand distribution globally all under our own supervision. However, the ultimate goal was yet to be achieved.
With all those efforts, finally, in 1994 Nazari Pistachio Company established officially.
Over the years, we bought more lands around the current factory. We also built various stocks intending to develop export activities and expand the factory.
Gradual evolution matters. The next step to fulfill our goal was to define ourselves as a prominent distributor in the local market. As we expanded our farming to processing and exporting, we stepped into new markets, making our products more accessible to demanding customers. Over the years, Nazari Pistachio increased its export amount by establishing trade relations with Europeans and other companies. We made producing Green Kernel one of our main priorities, which was another key parameter in expanding our export activities. To develop and increase our production capacity and ensuring the quality of our product, we purchased the most up-to-date and advanced production machines.
We consider this time as the period in which Nazari Pistachio really flourished. In the years 2014-2015, Nazari Pistachio was proudly recognized as the largest exporter of green kernels in the world.
Certainly, every road to success has its own ups and downs, and Nazari Pistachio was not an exception; so from 2017 to 2019, the company faced a recession and had no activity for a while. This period was an opportunity for us to plan short-term and long-term goals to return to the market, more focused and stronger than ever.

We produce all various kinds of in-shell pistachios and pistachio kernels. And we monitor all stages from cultivation to harvest and processing to ensure the health and quality of what we offer to the market. We produce all four major commercial types of in-shell pistachios, including Round Pistachio, Long types and Jumbo Pistachio. Each type of in-shell pistachio has different sizes that can be selected according to the intended application. We also offer a variety of quality kernels including Regular Pistachio Kernel, Green Peeled Pistachio Kernel, and Kaal Pistachio Kernel (Early-Picked).

We know that the process of pistachio production does not end in the processing stage. Proper storage of the product is an important part of the production process. The storage condition has a direct impact on the quality of the product that will later be delivered to the customer.
Storage temperature and humidity are important factors and in our facilities, they are constantly monitored using control equipment.
Regular and ongoing inspection of the storage conditions of pistachio products is one of our main actions in Nazari Pistachio.
